This study explores the role of empathy and altruism in leadership, focusing on how empathetic leaders inspire positive social change and enhance team morale. As traditional leadership models centered around authority and control are increasingly challenged, empathy is gaining recognition as a crucial leadership trait. Empathy, defined as the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, fosters emotional intelligence, collaboration, and innovation within teams. Altruism, characterized by selflessness and concern for others' well-being, complements empathy by promoting ethical decision-making and social responsibility. This paper investigates how these leadership behaviors contribute to improved job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and team performance. Data were collected from 250 respondents across public and private sector organizations, and the results reveal significant positive relationships between empathetic leadership, team morale, and organizational commitment. Specifically, empathetic leadership positively predicted both team morale (β = 0.45, p < .01) and organizational commitment (β = 0.38, p < .01). Additionally, altruistic behavior, driven by empathy, was found to significantly enhance organizational outcomes, contributing to a more inclusive and socially responsible work culture. These findings highlight the importance of empathy and altruism in fostering communication, collaboration, and ethical practices within teams. The study concludes with recommendations for organizations to develop empathy training programs, incorporate emotional intelligence into leadership selection, and promote altruistic leadership to enhance organizational outcomes.
